Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering

In the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, students are educated in the following three areas:(1) development of infrastructures (public works) that improve the quality of life; (2) design and construction of buildings and homes; (3) addressing environmental problems such as water and soil contamination and prevention of natural disasters.The department provides a solid foundation of specialized knowledge in a broad area of research fields with the goal of graduating ethically minded engineers who have the insight and ability to develop and maintain architectural projects with a careful consideration of related environmental issues.
