Q3. How do you decide on your research topic?
If you are interested in enrolling, please feel free to contact the Department of Economic Data Science regarding your research topic and academic advisor. We will work with you to find the right match between your research topic and faculty member, ensuring a more fulfilling research environment.

Q4. Is there a long-term study program?
We have a system in place that allows individuals with jobs or those whose research time is constrained by childcare or elder care responsibilities to systematically complete their studies by setting extended study periods in one-year increments, in consultation with their academic advisor, within the limits of their enrollment period (four years for the master's program and six years for the doctoral program).

Q5. Do you have a teaching assistant (TA) system?
We have a "Teaching Assistant (TA)" system. Through this system, TAs assist with classes and other activities under the direction of the assigned teacher, providing training to help them become successful educators in the future.

Q6. Are there any grant scholarships available for working students?
Working adults enrolled in this program who hold certain occupations are eligible for a grant-type scholarship (150,000 yen per semester, up to a maximum of 300,000 yen per year, non-repayable). Recipients of Tohoku Gakuin University grant scholarships and those working as teaching assistants are not eligible for this scholarship.
