Features of the Faculty of Informatics
Modern society is filled with information. Problems to be solved are of great variety. Enriching the lives of all social participants requires the ability to find and use necessary information among the vast amounts of available information. That ability is necessary, irrespective of whether a student pursues the liberal arts or sciences.
The faculty aims at developing human resources possessing the basic knowledge to process information and to apply problem finding, problem solving, and communication skills, with the ability to be active in occupations of various types. Students can learn information science, mathematical science, and social science extensively to develop multilateral perspectives, which is a salient feature of the department.
