By airing the podcast “The Voice of Tohoku Gakuin” we hope to achieve the following goals. First, we feel a responsibility to convey information about Tohoku and about our university Tohoku Gakuin University. As many of you know, in 2011 Tohoku was devastated by a massive earthquake and tsunami. As a result our community and our university suffered great losses. After that event, we received much support (emotional and financial) from people inside and outside of Japan for which we are grateful. Unfortunately, however, since then many people have begun to forget about this terrible event. In order not to forget, we must continue to send out a message from Tohoku. This podcast is an attempt to do this. Also, we hope to give an opportunity to study English and learn about our university to Japanese and non-Japanese living inside and outside of Japan.
