Three educational principles

Tohoku Gakuin University has established three common educational policies for all undergraduate faculties and all graduate Graduate Schools. These policies clearly define what learning outcomes the university expects from its students ("Degree Awarding Policy"), what kind of curriculum and education it will provide to achieve those outcomes ("Curriculum Development and Implementation Policy"), and what kind of students the university seeks to conduct such educational activities ("Admissions Policy"). We believe that these policies will help everyone better understand the role of our university.

Furthermore, we have established university-wide policies for formulating these "three principles" of education and learning.

The three basic principles of Tohoku Gakuin University's academic policies

Tohoku Gakuin, in order to realize its founding spirit, conducts educational and research activities based on the fundamental principles of Tohoku Gakuin education, under its school motto "LIFE LIGHT LOVE".

Tohoku Gakuin University and its Graduate Schools establish three educational policies for each degree program, in order to achieve the educational philosophy, objectives, and goals set forth for each degree program, and to coordinate with the three university-wide educational policies.

Furthermore, these three educational policies will serve as the core of the internal quality assurance system that continuously improves the quality of education, and will be constantly reviewed and revised as necessary.
