From April 2025, Graduate School of Economics will consist of two majors: Economics and Economic Data Science. The Economics major aims to deepen the academic understanding of economics, while the Economic Data Science major focuses on learning methods to solve the challenges facing the Tohoku region. Both majors feature small class sizes, made possible by a two-person supervision system with a dedicated advisor and co-supervisor providing thorough and attentive guidance. Researchers with diverse expertise help students achieve their goals, demonstrating a strong motivation for research and addressing regional challenges.
