Graduate School of Economics "Organizational Policy for Faculty Membership"
Graduate School of Economics will organize its faculty based on the following principles.
- The full-time faculty of Graduate School of Economics shall consist of individuals who have been hired as full-time faculty members of Tohoku Gakuin University, possessing the abilities and qualities required in the "Basic Policy for Recruiting Faculty Members of Tohoku Gakuin University" and the basic attitudes required in the "Basic Attitudes Expected of Faculty Members of Tohoku Gakuin University," and who have been deemed qualified to serve as full-time faculty members of Graduate School of Economics through a review process.
- The evaluation for item 1 will be conducted through an assessment of research and educational achievements, from the perspective of suitability for teaching courses in the master's program and for supervising students' research and education.
- All full-time faculty members in the master's program are responsible for teaching courses and supervising students' research and education.
- In the doctoral program, the teaching of courses and the guidance of students in research and education shall be assigned to full-time faculty members from the master's program who have been deemed qualified to teach courses and provide guidance to students in the doctoral program based on an evaluation of their research and educational achievements.
- Part-time faculty members are comprised of individuals who, through the same review process as full-time faculty members, are deemed qualified to teach courses in both the undergraduate and graduate programs, and to provide research and educational guidance to students.
- The determination and amendment of the regulations concerning the review criteria and procedures related to items 1, 4, and 5, and the individual reviews based thereon, shall be conducted by the Graduate School of Economics Committee and approved by Graduate Schools Committee.
