To ensure that you can enjoy your student life to the fullest, you must first be healthy. The health center does the following to help each student have a healthy student life, both physically and mentally, and to encourage them to take responsibility for their own health.

Regarding the regular health checkups on campus

• All health checkups on campus have been completed.
• Those who have not yet been tested can be examined at a university-designated health checkup facility. Since procedures are required, please come to the health center as soon as possible.
• We cannot issue health certificates to individuals who have not undergone a health checkup.

Although the deadline for responses has passed, we are still accepting responses as we have noticed many people who have not yet responded.

Regarding the issuance of a "health examination certificate"

Health certificates will be issued to students who have undergone this year's regular student health checkup.

Those who can get it issued by an automatic issuing machine

• Third and fourth year undergraduate students
• Graduate Schools

Start date of publication

• Fourth-year undergraduate students and graduating Graduate Schools students (second-year master's students, second-year doctoral students, third-year doctoral students): Around early May
• Undergraduate third-year students, and Graduate Schools other than those mentioned above (Master's first year, Doctoral first year, Doctoral second year): Around late May

If any of the following apply to you, please contact the school nurse's office.

• Those who cannot obtain a ticket from the automatic issuing machine
• Those who have the required form
• Those who are not in the grades listed above

Health consultation

We offer health consultations with the school doctor. For details regarding the schedule and other information, please contact the school nurse's office. Also, staff members in the school nurse's office are available to answer your questions at any time, so please feel free to use this service.

• *Please note that the school doctor does not provide health consultations during long holidays.

First aid and various measurements

We provide first aid for sudden illnesses and injuries on campus. As a general rule, we do not handle oral medications, so please carry any medications that suit your constitution in case of illness. Please familiarize yourself with the location of the health center on campus. We also have various measuring devices such as eye charts, height charts, weight scales, body composition analyzers, and blood pressure monitors. Please use them for your health management.

Health education, etc.

The school nurse's office offers smoking cessation counseling to those who wish to quit smoking.

About infectious diseases

Infectious diseases that should be prevented in schools (school-related infectious diseases)

If you contract a school-related infectious disease such as measles or influenza, you will be required to stay home from school in accordance with the School Health and Safety Act. Please contact the Academic Affairs Office for details on the procedures.

Regarding the response to COVID-19 from May 8, 2023 onwards

Effective May 8, 2023, COVID-19 was reclassified as a Category 5 infectious disease following an amendment to the "Enforcement Regulations of the Act on Prevention of Infectious Diseases and Medical Care for Patients with Infectious Diseases." Accordingly, the School Health and Safety Act Enforcement Regulations were also amended on the same day, classifying COVID-19 as a Category 2 school infectious disease (an infectious disease that should be prevented in schools).
