In Tohoku, which experienced the unprecedented destruction of material culture due to the earthquake, we will establish a research center for comprehensive theology and humanities based on God-centered theology dating back to the Middle Ages, in conjunction with human-centered humanities (anthropology) research that is tailored to different eras and regions, centered on the medieval Christian cultural assets within our university. Based on a theology that affirms material culture on the basis of the Incarnation, we will visualize and further strengthen the university's vision of supporting the region humanly and intellectually through Christianity.
