Things related to SD (Staff Development)
Universities and Graduate Schools are required by the University Establishment Standards and Graduate Schools Establishment Standards to implement faculty development (FD), staff development (SD), and training for teaching assistants, and our university is also working on these.
- What is FD?
- This refers to systematic training and research aimed at improving the content and methods of courses at the university (Graduate Schools) in question, in order to enhance the education provided to students.
- What is SD?
- This refers to necessary measures (excluding those that fall under faculty development) to ensure the appropriate and effective operation of the educational and research activities of the university (Graduate Schools) in question, including providing opportunities for training to enable faculty and administrative staff to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills, and to improve their abilities and qualifications.
The ideal profile of faculty and staff necessary to provide student-centered education in line with the "Policy on Graduation Certification and Degree Conferral"
