Regarding credit recognition
Credit recognition for elective foreign language courses based on proficiency tests (for students admitted in 2023 and later)
Our university has a system in place that allows students to convert the results of language proficiency tests conducted by various external organizations into university credits. The method for recognizing credits for elective foreign language courses based on foreign language proficiency tests designated by our university is as shown in the table below.
Applications for accreditation are accepted at any time at the Foreign Language Education Center (3rd floor of the Lecture Building, Itsutsubashi Campus).
- *Please note that the application period varies depending on the certification exam.
- *For certification exams where the certification date is not indicated on the certificate, the date of the exam will be considered the certification date.
- *For students who enrolled before the 2023 academic year, the eligibility for credit recognition varies by department. Please follow the instructions of your respective department.
- *Courses that you applied for and were approved for in the first semester (including first-semester courses) will be removed from your course registration and approved. This will free up credits in your registration limit, allowing you to add other courses during the second semester's course registration modification period. If you wish to add courses, please do so during the second semester's course registration period.
- *There is no limit to the number of applications you can submit.
- *If you have already applied for Faculty of International Studies 's own credit recognition program, which applies to students entering in 2025 or later, you cannot use the same language proficiency test results to utilize the credit recognition system of this center.
