Issuance of student commuter passes
1. Student Passenger Fare Discount Certificate (Student Discount Certificate)
If the one-way distance of your journey is 101 kilometers or more, you will receive a 20% discount on the fare (this discount also applies to round-trip discount tickets).
If you need a student discount certificate, please use the automatic certificate issuing machine located on each campus. The certificate is valid for three months from the date of issue.
Please present your student ID and student discount certificate when purchasing your ticket at a JR ticket office or other designated location. Please note that the student discount certificate cannot be used by anyone other than the person who issued it.
- Group travel discounts
- This discount is available for groups of 8 or more people, such as seminars or extracurricular activity groups, who are accompanied by faculty or staff. The discount is 50% of the regular fare. To apply, obtain a "Group Travel Application Form" from a travel agency (including the university co-op) or JR Midori-no-Madoguchi (ticket office) and have it certified by the Student Affairs Office (Student and Welfare Section).

- *Please have the "icsca Commuter Pass Purchase Application Form" and the "Commuter Pass (IC Card Compatible) Purchase Application Form" certified by the Student Affairs Office (Student and Welfare Section) before purchasing.
- *From April 2024 onwards, verification of student ID will be waived when renewing JR commuter passes.
