Employment for people with disabilities
While job opportunities for people with disabilities are limited depending on the industry and occupation, the enactment of the Act on Promotion of Employment of Persons with Disabilities has made it mandatory for businesses to employ a certain percentage of people with disabilities. This law stipulates that government agencies, special corporations, and private companies must accept people with disabilities for employment, and our university receives inquiries from several companies each year expressing interest in hiring. However, in these cases, having a "Disability Certificate" is a prerequisite, so those who have not yet received one should prepare to apply in advance.
