Philosophy and objectives, educational goals, and ideal student profile.
Philosophy/purpose
By improving students' proficiency in English, Chinese, or Korean, as well as Japanese with an emphasis on internationalization, we aim to cultivate "Good Global Citizens" who can increase their means of communication with people of different backgrounds, be aware of global issues and trends, and actively contribute to their local communities (such as the areas where they live or the organizations they belong to).
Educational goals
- To develop individuals who understand the diversity and interconnectedness of society, culture, history, and language in various countries and regions around the world, and who can think about globalization from multiple perspectives and in a comparative perspective.
- We aim to develop human resources who can independently identify common issues that transcend national and regional borders and arise as a result of globalization, and who can tenaciously seek solutions while working with others.
- We aim to develop human resources who can acquire the ability to use English, an "international auxiliary language," or East Asian languages (Chinese, Korean, Japanese), and who can use these languages to communicate appropriately with people from different social and cultural backgrounds, thereby promoting "collaboration" and "coexistence."
- We aim to develop individuals who will use the results of their studies to contribute to the local community (region, workplace, etc.) in which they live, while also taking an interest in and contributing to the global community (the outside world), who will sincerely consider their own role and mission wherever they are in the world, and who strive to live a rich life.
