The Institute for English Language and Literature is a comprehensive research facility for English and American literature, linguistics, English language education, and other aspects of English culture, located in the General Research Building on Tsuchitoi Campus. The institute's collection of academic journals and other materials is among the best in Japan in both quantity and quality, meeting the demands of both domestic and international sources. The institute also makes continuous efforts to acquire a comprehensive range of dictionaries and encyclopedias.

The Institute for English Language and Literature is a highly valuable facility, alongside the library, not only for the individual researcher's pursuit of their research topics, but also for Graduate Schools and undergraduate students when writing their theses.

At our annual academic conference, we invite renowned scholars from both Japan and abroad to give lectures that are both educational and cutting-edge in their respective fields, aimed at students.
