Professor Buckley Philip​

Research topic

My research field involves all aspects related to speech. I am particularly interested in the impact of Japanese learners' pronunciation of English, often referred to as "Japanese English," on communication, and I am currently developing teaching materials to help learners acquire more natural English pronunciation. I am also attempting to elucidate the question of how speech sounds take shape in the human brain from the perspective of native language interference in second language acquisition.
