Analyzing human behavior and thought in all situations—at home, school, and work—and solving problems is a major part of the learning in Department of Human Science. Depending on the subject matter and approach, students specialize in psychology, sociology, education, or physical education. They acquire experimental and research methods, hone their theoretical thinking and writing skills, and develop the ability to thoroughly investigate and solve a single research topic. The goal is for students to grow into individuals who can view society from multiple perspectives.

Psychology

Students will learn the basics of modern psychology, which seeks to explain human behavior and consciousness based on objective data from experiments, tests, and surveys.

Sociology

By conducting social surveys and examining the contents of various documents and information, we analyze the problems of modern society, and through these efforts we gain an understanding of society and human beings.

Pedagogy

Students will learn about child development, the future of schools, and the meaning of education in society, while relating it to the fields of psychology, sociology, and physical education.

Physical education

Students will study "sports science," which consists of two areas: the "natural sciences" area, which is concerned with improving athletic ability and promoting health, and the "humanities" area, which is concerned with social and cultural matters such as the organization of sports.
