  • Students will study a wide range of subjects in the four fields of psychology, sociology, education, and physical education.
  • Acquire empirical analytical skills about human beings.
  • Become someone who can respond to real-world issues related to human development and formation.
About our philosophy and objectives

"To cultivate the ability to understand human beings from multiple perspectives and empirically."

Modern society is said to be one of diversification and complexity of values. In order for you to live your life proactively and richly in the future, it will become increasingly important to acquire the ability to understand people and their activities from multiple perspectives, not one-sidedly, and empirically based on objective data, not on self-serving assumptions.

Therefore, Department of Human Science aims to cultivate individuals who possess deep insights into human nature, broad general knowledge, and the practical skills to tackle real-world problems on their own.

Regarding educational goals

In order to put the above educational philosophy into practice, Department of Human Science has set forth four educational objectives.

The four-year curriculum is functionally structured to achieve these goals.

By studying human sciences, we hope that students will not only deepen their understanding of people and society, but also acquire the fundamental practical skills to forge their own paths in life.

  • They actively read books that offer a deep understanding of human and social issues, and possess the fundamental academic ability to accurately comprehend their content.
  • They possess the mathematical thinking skills necessary for empirically analyzing human and social problems.

  • Applicants should possess a strong desire to learn about human beings, be able to independently research the curriculum of this department, and clearly articulate their reasons for applying.
