■Information science seminar (3rd year)
In the Information Science Seminar, you will learn the fundamentals of computers and networks necessary for your comprehensive research project. The specific content is as follows:
- OS (Microsoft Windows and Red Hat-based Linux) installation and various settings
- Object-oriented programming with Java
- Database management system related to web integration (Apache + PostgreSQL + PHP)
- Creativity support (especially the KJ method, a representative idea generation support method), etc.
■ Comprehensive Research (4th year students)
In our comprehensive research, we aim to realize a convenient and safe society by utilizing computers and networks, and we conduct the following research:
- Development of a collaborative work support system for people with disabilities and able-bodied individuals.
- Research on communication using computers and networks
- Development of information gathering and processing systems utilizing mobile and mobile terminal systems
- Research on the management and operation of computer systems
Furthermore, we present some of the results of our comprehensive research at academic conferences (such as the Tohoku Branch Research Meeting of the Information Processing Society of Japan).
