■Research Themes
Research and development of autonomously operating software
■Information science seminar (3rd year)
Using LEGO Mindstorms, a programmable robot, as teaching material, we will create a control program for an autonomous robot. In order for the robot to move autonomously, we must develop a program that recognizes the environment around the robot and instructs it on what actions to take. Through the development of this control program, students will learn the knowledge and skills necessary to develop autonomously operating software.
■ Comprehensive Research (4th year students)
We conduct research on autonomously operating systems using computer networks and machine learning.
Examples of specific research topics include the following:
- Development of an application to visualize data observed by multiple sensors
- Development of automated control technology for information devices via networks
- Development of automatic flight control technology for small drones
- Development of an unauthorized access detection system using neural networks
