Philosophy and objectives, educational goals, and ideal student profile.

Philosophy/purpose

We aim to develop human resources who have a deep understanding of the diverse elements of their local communities, who can envision better communities from the perspective of local residents, and who can solve local issues.

Educational goals

  • We cultivate human resources who are willing to learn and think in the local community.
  • We aim to develop talented individuals who have the ability to understand and analyze how regions are made up of diverse elements such as nature, industry, education, and welfare, and how these elements are interconnected.
  • Based on the philosophy of creating a "better community" for local residents, we cultivate human resources who can identify local issues from the perspective of the diverse people who live there and find clues to solving them.

Desired student profile

  1. Possess sufficient basic academic ability.
  2. They are interested in the diverse phenomena and problems occurring in the local area and have a strong desire to explore and solve them in depth.
  3. Students have experience actively participating in activities both inside and outside of school, and can express and explain the content of those activities in their own words.
  4. Students have a good understanding of the educational content and characteristics of this department, and have a clear purpose and motivation to continue to be actively involved in the local community in the future.
