Overseas research A
Recruitment closed

Our university offers an original program aimed at allowing students to visit places associated with W.E. Hoy and D.B. Schneider, the founders of Tohoku Gakuin, to experience the founding spirit of the university, and to observe diverse realities abroad, thereby conducting comprehensive overseas research. This is a long-established program that has been developed since 1973, primarily through short-term study abroad programs at partner universities in the United States and other countries.

In the 2026 academic year, students will continue to stay at Renison University College, a partner institution in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and attend lectures given by faculty members from that university. Towards the end of their study abroad program, students will take a group trip to New York City to broaden their international perspectives. In addition, two faculty members from our university will accompany students from departure to return to support their study abroad experience.

This program is offered as a year-long course (4 credits), and in the first semester, students will take English conversation and practice sessions to prepare for their summer study abroad program.
