To all those who graduated from the Department of Environmental Civil Engineering or Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering in March 2007 or later and are considering registering as an Associate Professional Engineer:
This department became a JABEE-accredited institution designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in April 2006. Therefore, graduates from March 2007 onward are exempt from the first stage of the Professional Engineer examination and become "Trainee Engineers" upon graduation. "Trainee Engineers" can take the second stage of the Professional Engineer examination after gaining the necessary experience. Furthermore, "Trainee Engineers" can obtain the national qualification of Associate Professional Engineer by registering as such.
To register as an Associate Professional Engineer, please obtain the "Associate Professional Engineer Registration Guide" from the Japan Society of Professional Engineers or its branch offices, and follow the registration procedure outlined in the guide. For the necessary application documents, please search the website for the Associate Professional Engineer registration procedure online and prepare the documents based on its contents.
