The main arteries of modern society: electrical energy and information and communication systems

Students acquire theoretical and technological skills in two major areas: electrical energy systems, which consider "how to generate, supply, apply, and control electricity," and information and communication systems, which consider "how to convert, process, transmit, and exchange information." Furthermore, they enhance their problem-solving skills through experiments and practical training in their desired field of specialization. In the future, they can work in a wide range of fields closely related to daily life. They acquire the skills to become experts in their respective fields.

Specialized fields

Power and Control Systems
Students will learn the knowledge and technology to address the problems and needs of modern society, such as technologies for converting natural energy into electrical energy and technologies for improving the efficiency of electrical equipment. They will also acquire the skills to generate and share electricity, the technologies for widely applying electricity, and the technologies for safely and efficiently controlling power systems.
Information and Communications
IT (Information Technology) supports various digitalized information, such as text information such as email, audio information such as telephone, and video information such as television. Students will learn the basics of the four fundamental technologies of IT: information conversion technology, information processing technology, information transmission technology, and information exchange technology.
Electronics/Materials
Students will acquire knowledge and skills related to the high-performance electronic devices that support social infrastructure, and electronic materials that will pioneer new electronics. In particular, we will enrich the study of the three fields of "Device and Material Fundamentals," "Materials Engineering," and "Device Engineering," and cultivate engineers with creativity and application skills.
