Philosophy/purpose
To train engineers who have a fundamental knowledge of electrical and electronic engineering, a rich humanity, and a correct sense of ethics, and who can fully contribute to the development of human society.
Educational goals
The education in the Department of Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering aims to achieve the following:
- To develop creative and practical electrical and electronic engineers and information and communications engineers with rich humanity and correct ethical standards.
- To train electrical and electronic engineers who are fully equipped with the fundamental theories of electronic materials, devices, and electronic measurement, and who are capable of responding to a society where the efficient use of electrical energy is advancing.
- Cultivating information and communications engineers who have mastered the basic theory of collecting, analyzing, and processing diverse data in a society where the Internet of Things (IoT) is advancing
The ideal student for this department
- Students have the basic academic skills in mathematics, physics, and English necessary to study electrical and electronic engineering, and have developed a proactive approach to learning on their own.
- They have a strong interest in cutting-edge science and technology, and possess the strong motivation to learn and high goals that are appropriate for science and engineering students.
- Students have a thorough understanding of the educational content of this department and have a reason for wanting to study in this department and a motivation to study.
Undergraduate learning objectives
In the Department of Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, in accordance with the university's "Policy on Degree Awarding," the following are the learning objectives for the undergraduate program.
- 1. We recognize the importance of engineering ethics and understand the environmental and social impacts of electrical and information technology.
Along with the qualities that should be cultivated as a person, such as "having an attitude of striving to live well" and "being able to perceive and think about things from a broad and diverse perspective," as stated in our university's "Policy on Degree Conferral," we also fully recognize the importance of engineering ethics in order to fulfill our responsibilities as engineers.
- 2. Possesses the fundamental skills required of an engineer, along with a strong foundation in electrical engineering, information engineering, and communication engineering.
Students acquire fundamental engineering knowledge in fields such as mathematics, physics, and information technology, and based on that knowledge, they also acquire basic experimental and design techniques related to electrical information.
- 3. Understands the development process that comprehensively considers problems, solutions, verification, and prototyping.
Students will be able to understand the concepts and methodologies related to problem identification, solution exploration, theoretical verification, and prototype creation, and to relate them to new technological development.
- 4. Able to understand and propose solutions to various problems related to electrical information in human society.
Students will be able to independently identify challenges related to electrical information technology that are in line with societal demands, select appropriate solutions to those challenges, and propose and present those solutions.
