Admissions Policy for Department of Mechanical Engineering and Intelligent Systems
A strong interest in and desire to learn about, understand, and create machinery, and the necessary foundational knowledge to accomplish these things.
As an engineer, you must possess the independence and self-reliance necessary to identify problems, devise solutions, and take action.
They aspire to "intellectual manufacturing," and are aware of their responsibilities as members of society, possessing a proactive desire to learn.
Key evaluation points in comprehensive selection (excerpt from the examination guide)
Applicants should possess the fundamental academic skills in mathematics, physics, and English necessary for studying mechanical engineering, and have the attitude to identify problems independently, devise methods for solving them, and strive to solve them.
Applicants must have a clear reason for wanting to enroll through the comprehensive selection process, and possess activities and experiences that demonstrate this reason, which they must be able to fully communicate to the interviewers.
To cultivate the independence and self-reliance necessary for engineers, and to have a sense of responsibility as a member of society and a proactive desire to learn.
