Education in this department

Mechanical engineering that will support future industries

You will learn the knowledge and skills to create new machines tailored to specific purposes, machines that assist human movement, and systems that solve societal problems. Creating new machines means thinking for yourself and shaping solutions to problems based on a broad range of knowledge including materials, heat, fluids, vibration, control, and processing. Through the accumulation of theory and experimentation, you will acquire a wealth of knowledge and ways of thinking, developing the ability to become an engineer who is both imaginative and logical.

Specialized Plan

Smart Design Plan
By simultaneously acquiring knowledge of mechanical design, processing, and materials, where tradition and cutting edge technology coexist, students will realize the core of mechanical engineering, "making things that move," from materials to mechanical design.
Green Energy System Plan
In order to work in specialized fields related to machines that affect our daily lives, from energy to engines, automobiles, and aircraft, students will learn about heat and flow in an integrated manner, supporting the social infrastructure of the future.
Biorobotics Plan
With the aim of understanding humans from an engineering perspective and applying this understanding to computer-controlled machines that help humans, the course covers everything from biology, welfare, the interface between humans and machines, to robot development.
Mechano Engineering Plan
In order to view the mechanical engineering field from a broad perspective, expand possibilities with comprehensive knowledge, and solve a variety of problems, students will study three specialized fields in a balanced manner, rather than narrowing down to a specific field.
