This graduate school is an interdisciplinary Graduate Schools that emphasizes the connection between humans and information. Graduate students specialize in one of three areas: social information (sociology, education, human geography, regional planning), behavioral information (psychology, educational technology, physical education), or life and information (computer science, mathematics, bioinformatics, information science, environmental science). At the same time, professors with expertise in basic research from a wide range of fields, including humanities and social sciences, information science, and natural sciences, participate in guidance, helping graduate students solidify their academic foundations. This system enables interdisciplinary research and education for graduate students.

Philosophy/purpose

Graduate School of Human Informatics to contribute to the broad advancement of culture by teaching and researching the theory and application of specialized fields related to social informatics, behavioral informatics, and life informatics, based on Christian character education, and by exploring their depths.

Master's Program in Human Informatics

The Master's Program in Human Informatics aims to cultivate individuals who possess a multifaceted perspective, fundamental knowledge, and skills regarding various issues in human informatics, who can analyze these issues theoretically and empirically, and who can propose solutions based on the insights gained.

Doctoral Program in Human Informatics

The doctoral program in Human Informatics aims to cultivate independent individuals who possess a multifaceted perspective on various issues in human informatics, advanced knowledge and skills, the ability to analyze these issues theoretically and empirically, and to propose solutions based on the insights gained.

Master's Program in Human Informatics

The Master's Program in Human Informatics provides the following education in order to cultivate the kind of human resources outlined in its philosophy and objectives.

1. Emphasis on interdisciplinary approach: Through a curriculum that combines social informatics, behavioral informatics, life and informatics with the field of regional informatics, we conduct highly interdisciplinary education and research that emphasizes the organic collaboration of diverse specialized fields.
2. Social Contribution: As an educational and research institution that contributes to the realization of a desirable information society, we respond to the needs of society.
3. Practical Integration of Knowledge: We accept Graduate Schools students with a wide range of experiences and backgrounds, including working professionals who address various issues in local communities, to promote the practical integration of knowledge.
4. Interdisciplinary guidance system: The educational objectives listed in 1 will be achieved through a research guidance system that includes faculty members from different fields as supervisors.
