While acquiring specialized knowledge in areas such as constitutional law and civil law is certainly part of the appeal of Faculty of Law, the most valuable skill I gained during my four years at the Faculty of Law was the ability to perceive things from diverse perspectives and to understand different values. The learning process—not just asserting my own opinions, but also listening to others, considering their reasoning, and listening to theirs—is something I believe was only possible in Faculty of Law.

I made it a point to delve deeply into legal interpretations and precedents by researchers, rather than just gaining a superficial understanding. In undergraduate lectures, the fundamental knowledge necessary for the bar exam and judicial practice was explained in detail. I received numerous corrections on my answers for law Graduate Schools entrance exams and the bar exam, and I don't think there are any other professors at Tohoku Gakuin University who are as attentive to their students as they are.
