Naturally, Faculty of Law students primarily study law. While this may seem obvious, many people find it surprisingly difficult to answer the question of what exactly studying law entails and how to do it. In fact, even high school students interested in Faculty of Law often seem to lack a clear image of what it entails. Furthermore, while the goal of Faculty of Law is to cultivate a legal mindset and legal reasoning skills, explaining what this specifically means can also be challenging.
Faculty of Law has structured its curriculum from the first year to enable students to find the answers to these questions themselves. First, there are introductory courses such as "Legal Research" to help students acquire the skills to study law. There are also introductory courses such as "Introduction to Civil Law" that allow students to get an overview of the law, making it easier to understand the position of subsequent specialized courses. Furthermore, there is a seminar course called "Basic Seminar I." Basic Seminar I is an introductory course to what is commonly known as a seminar, so students will learn how to create handouts and how to conduct discussions, and then put those skills into practice. Since many classes in the Faculty of Faculty of Law are conducted with large numbers of students, we highly recommend taking Basic Seminar I, where you can get closer to the faculty and other students.
Students choose their course of study when they enter their third year. Faculty of Law offers three courses tailored to different career paths: "Policy and Administration," "Corporate Law," and "Legal Professionals." Course-specific graduation requirements are set so that students can select the subjects necessary for their chosen career path, allowing them to achieve their career goals. In addition, seminars are mandatory in the third and fourth years, providing an environment where students can thoroughly engage in their graduation research or thesis.
We offer support for career advancement through both regular classes and extracurricular courses. One of our regular courses is "Legal Training Practice," which teaches the skills necessary for those aiming to become legal professionals or enter law Graduate Schools. This course is offered from the first to third year, allowing students to learn practical skills from an early stage. Additionally, for those aspiring to become civil servants or those considering obtaining a real estate license, there are "Specialized Lectures" in the third year. These courses provide preparation for the respective exams, so we encourage you to take full advantage of them. We also offer extracurricular courses. For those aspiring to become legal professionals, there's the "Career Advancement Course"; for those aiming to become civil servants, there are "Civil Service Exam Study Tools" and "Civil Service Exam Follow-up Courses"; and for those seeking qualifications, there are courses such as "Real Estate Transaction Specialist Exam Pre-Exam Course" and "Taxation and Accounting Courses," tailored to each student's career path. Furthermore, many courses offer scholarships and incentives to financially support students.
In this way, the Faculty of Faculty of Law prepares the necessary curriculum and courses so that students can learn law, develop legal thinking skills, and connect them to their future career paths.
