1. Interview Process

*The interview process begins with a presentation. Following the presentation and a Q&A session, a standard interview will be conducted. The time is approximate.
2. Presentation
- The two themes are "Challenges and Solutions of AI Utilization in Politics" and "The Ideal Form of a Retrial System for the Redress of Wrongful Convictions." Please choose one of these.
- In a presentation, the evaluation criteria include "procedures and methods of explanation" (how it was done), "content" (reasons for selecting the theme, depth of research, logical arguments, etc.), and "question and answer session" (whether questions were answered accurately, expressive ability, etc.).
- If you need any materials for your presentation, please prepare them in paper form. In that case, please prepare two copies in addition to your own.
You are not allowed to use electronic devices such as computers or smartphones.
*When preparing your presentation, it is important to be mindful of the key evaluation criteria. Take ample time from selecting your topic to writing your document.
3. Interview
- With the introduction of presentations, the duration of traditional interviews will be shortened, but there will be no changes to the methods of conducting them.
- Your "Statement of Purpose" will also be subject to questions.
When writing your statement of purpose, carefully read the questions and write something that is relevant to them.

- What is a presentation?
- At the beginning of the interview, you will be asked to present your thoughts on a topic you have chosen. Please select a topic that interests you and share what you have researched and your own thoughts on it.
- How long should my presentation be?
- It will take about 5 minutes. Please prepare so that you do not exceed the time limit.
- How should I give the presentation?
- You may bring paper-based materials. There are no restrictions on paper size. You may also use diagrams, charts, and photographs. However, presentations using electronic devices are not permitted.
- Will I lose points if I don't bring any paper-based materials?
- You will not be penalized.
- What criteria will be used to evaluate the presentations?
- Presentations are evaluated comprehensively on several factors, including the "procedure and method of explanation" (how it was conducted), "content" (reasons for selecting the theme, depth of research, logical arguments, etc.), and "question and answer session" (whether questions were answered accurately, presentation skills, etc.).
Rather than focusing on the uniqueness or overall impression of the production, please pay particular attention to the key evaluation points, especially 3 and 5. - If I don't prepare a presentation, will I still not be given an interview?
- Even if you haven't prepared a presentation, the interview will still take place.
