Repayment exemption system for particularly outstanding achievements
System Overview
This system allows students who have achieved particularly outstanding results in their studies during the loan period to be exempted from repaying all or half of their scholarship at the end of the loan period.
1. Target
Graduate Schools students receiving a Type 1 scholarship (including the tuition deferral system) whose loan will end during the current academic year.
2. Purpose
In addition to outstanding achievements, inventions, and discoveries in academic fields, we also evaluate remarkable activities in culture, arts, and sports related to the student's field of study, as well as significant social contributions through volunteer work, etc., in order to improve incentives for students to learn.

How to apply
1. Distribution period of application documents
Early January of the year the loan ends *Notification will be posted on MYTG to eligible individuals.
2. Application period
Late February to early March of the year the loan ends.
Scholarship repayment exemption system for those who become teachers (teacher exemption)
System Overview
This system is open to individuals who have demonstrated particularly outstanding achievements, have completed a graduate program accredited for teacher training under certain conditions, passed the teacher recruitment selection examination, and are expected to be hired as regular teachers.
After applying, if you are recommended to the organization as a candidate for repayment exemption under the faculty category (hereinafter referred to as "faculty exemption") after selection by the university, and if it is confirmed that you are employed as a regular faculty member as of April 1st and meet the requirements, the Type 1 scholarship you received while enrolled Graduate Schools will be fully exempted.
1. Target
Graduate Schools students receiving a Type 1 scholarship (including the tuition deferral system) whose loan will end during the current academic year.
*This offer does not apply to those enrolled in doctoral programs.
2. Application Requirements
Those who meet both of the following conditions (1) and (2), and who have passed the teacher recruitment selection examination and are scheduled to be employed as a regular teacher (*) from the year following Graduate Schools graduation.
- Having completed a teacher training program at Graduate Schools and obtained a specialized teaching license (including cases where a special teaching license is granted for employment selection purposes, etc.)
- Applicants must have earned at least one credit in a course at a graduate school that requires practical training at a school or similar institution (limited to courses accredited as teacher training programs), and have approximately 30 hours or more of actual practical training experience at a school or similar institution.
*This does not apply to temporary employees or part-time lecturers. It applies to full-time faculty members with no fixed term of employment.
