System Overview
1. Target
Undergraduate and Graduate Schools students whose household finances have drastically changed due to reasons such as the death, illness, or job loss of the primary breadwinner.
2. Types of scholarships

- *The monthly fee can be changed if necessary during the loan period.
- *If you are still unable to maintain your studies even after receiving a Type 1 (or Type 2) scholarship, you may apply for a Type 2 (or Type 1) scholarship in addition. (Combined loan)
- *If an undergraduate student chooses the maximum monthly amount for Type 1 scholarships, their certified income must be below the threshold for combined loan eligibility.
- *For those eligible for the "New System for Supporting Higher Education," there will be restrictions on the amount of Type 1 scholarships provided, depending on the support category.

5. Conditions for continuation
Once a year, if you are deemed eligible as a scholarship recipient based on the results of (1) and (2) below, you may continue receiving the loan for the following year. The loan can be provided up to the expected graduation/completion date.

How to apply
1. Application deadline
Applications must be submitted within 12 months of the date the sudden change occurred (or within 3 months of enrollment if the sudden change occurred before enrollment).
*Please note that the application period is shorter every year in March due to the end of the fiscal year. Particular caution is advised if a sudden change in household finances occurred in March of the previous year.
2. Application Procedure
