Japan Student Services Organization Disaster Relief Fund
System Overview
1. Target
Those who meet all of the following criteria
- Undergraduate students and Graduate Schools students
- *Excludes non-degree students, research students, auditing students, etc.
- *Whether or not you are using a JASSO scholarship is not a requirement. Furthermore, you can apply even if you are receiving financial support from other organizations.
- If the home where the student or their financial supporter currently resides suffers damage of partial destruction (including partial destruction, partial burial, and partial burning) or flooding above floor level due to a natural disaster or fire, or if entry to the residence is prohibited for more than one month due to an evacuation order from the local government,
- *Disasters that occurred before enrollment or during leave of absence are not covered.
- *Only one application is allowed per disaster.
- Students who are motivated to learn and who the president deems likely to complete their studies within the prescribed period of study.
- *Disasters that occurred while repeating a year due to poor academic performance are not covered.
2. Support amount
100,000 yen (non-refundable)

How to apply
1. Application deadline
Within 6 months from the month following the day the disaster occurred.
