Group Leader System

What is the Group Leader System?

University education is often thought of solely as academic pursuit through lectures and seminars, but the personal development that takes place outside of class time, through interactions between faculty and students, and among students themselves, is also crucial. Therefore, our university has established a group leader system to provide opportunities for interaction between faculty and students. We hope that students will accumulate many valuable lifelong experiences and enriching insights from these personal interactions with faculty and students outside of the classroom.

The group leader plays a crucial role in guiding students through their student life by providing support and advice at every opportunity, starting with orientation upon enrollment. They understand each student's aspirations and personality, acting as an appropriate counselor or advisor. Please feel free to approach your group leader.

The group leader will be a faculty member from the department or faculty to which each student belongs.

Please note that subsidies are available for group camps and group activities conducted in conjunction with a group leader. Group representatives should apply in advance at the Student Affairs Office (Student Welfare Section) on their respective campus.
