Student medical expense subsidy
The university will subsidize the out-of-pocket expenses (for medical treatment covered by insurance) for the first visit if a student is injured and receives medical treatment from a doctor *1. To apply for this subsidy, please submit an injury report, a recurrence prevention measures sheet, and a receipt (with your name and date of visit) to the Student Affairs Office within 5 days of the date the injury occurred.

Student Education and Research Accident and Injury Insurance
At this university, all students are enrolled in the Student Education and Research Accident and Injury Insurance (abbreviated as "Gakkensai") *2, with the university covering the premiums and providing a lump-sum payment. In the event of injury or accident, please promptly submit an injury report and a recurrence prevention measures sheet to the Student Affairs Office.

→Eligible from 1 day of treatment - While on school premises for activities other than extracurricular activities, during commuting to and from school
→Applicable to those undergoing treatment for 4 days or more. - During extracurricular activities (limited to activities that have been reported to and approved by the university)
→Applicable to those who have been receiving treatment for 14 days or more.
*Please note that there are cases where insurance benefits will not be paid, as described below. For more details, please consult with the counter staff.
Intentional acts, fighting, criminal acts, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, etc., and dangerous activities (mountain climbing, glider piloting, etc.) - During regular classes, during school events

Procedure Flow

① Submit an injury report to the Student Affairs Office (if eligible for medical expense assistance, also submit the receipt for the initial consultation).
*If an injury report has not been submitted, we cannot proceed with the claim process. Please be sure to submit it before proceeding through the app.
② Report to the insurance company via the Gakken Disaster Prevention App (SkettBook).
③ Once you have fully recovered and finished your hospital visits, you can file an insurance claim using the Gakken-sai app (SkettBook).
*For those who do not have access to the Gakken-sai app, we will continue to accept paper requests. Please contact the Student Affairs Office.

Student Accident Liability Insurance (Supplementary Liability Insurance)

At our university, we recommend that students enroll in the Student Life Comprehensive Insurance (abbreviated as "Supplementary Student Insurance") as supplementary insurance to the Student Accident Insurance.
