Orientation event

About the orientation event

At our university, we hold an orientation event for new students for about a week in early April every year.

The orientation program aims to help new students understand (1) the significance of university education, (2) the founding principles of the university, (3) the university's educational policies and content, (4) general aspects of university life, and (5) various university rules, which differ from high school life, so that they can smoothly navigate their four years of student life. Many members of the university community, including the president, deans of each faculty, faculty members from each department, group leaders, and orientation leaders (senior students), participate in this program to support the new students.

The orientation includes guidance on each faculty and department, as well as detailed explanations on how to use the university's internal network, which students frequently use, and how to register for courses. In addition, programs led by orientation leaders and activities organized by the student council and the freshman welcoming committee are set aside to allow students to interact with each other.

New students, please make sure you fully understand the purpose of the orientation events and proactively seek opportunities to interact with teachers, orientation leaders, and classmates so that you can have a meaningful orientation.
