Regulations for the Use of Tsuchitoi Campus Gymnasium

(Purpose)
Article 1
- These regulations stipulate the necessary matters concerning the use of the gymnasium at Tohoku Gakuin University's Tsuchitoi Campus (hereinafter referred to as the "Gymnasium"), which is established by Tohoku Gakuin University (hereinafter referred to as the "University").
(user)
Article 2
- In principle, only students and faculty/staff of this university are permitted to use the gymnasium. However, this does not apply to those who have received permission from the Dean of Students.
(Usage time)
Article 3
- The gymnasium may be used from 9:00 AM to 10:30 PM. However, use will not be permitted in any of the following cases:
- Worship time
- Class (sports practicals) time
- In other cases where the Dean of Student Affairs deems it necessary to prohibit its use.
(Closed)
Article 4
- The gymnasium will be closed in the following cases:
- Sundays and national holidays
- Other cases as deemed necessary by the university
(Use during closure)
Article 5
- As a general rule, the use of the gymnasium during its closure is not permitted. However, this does not apply if permission is obtained from the Dean of Students.
(Usage categories and priority order)
Article 6
- The usage categories for the gymnasium are as follows, and the priority order for use is as listed in each category.
- Events hosted by our university
- Regular physical education
- Extracurricular activities of athletic associations (including athletic organizations of the club federation; the same applies hereinafter)
- Events organized by the student council
- Physical activities for students and faculty members
- Physical education activities for non-students
(Usage Procedure)
Article 7
- When using the gymnasium, the necessary procedures must be followed based on the usage categories specified in the preceding article.
- For extracurricular activities of athletic clubs, a monthly usage plan and usage request must be submitted to Tsuchitoi Campus Gymnasium Office (hereinafter referred to as the "Tsuchitoi Gymnasium Office") or the Izumi Campus Athletic Office (hereinafter referred to as the "Izumi Athletic Office") by the 20th of the month preceding the intended use, and permission must be obtained from the Dean of Students.
- For events organized by the student council, as well as athletic activities for students and faculty, a usage request must be submitted to Tsuchitoi Gymnasium Office or the Izumi Gymnasium Office at least one week prior to the date of use, and permission must be obtained from the Director of Student Affairs.
- For athletic activities by non-university members, an application for use must be submitted to Tsuchitoi Gymnasium Office or the Izumi Gymnasium Office at least two weeks prior to the intended date of use, and permission must be obtained from the Dean of Students.
- Users must present their permit to Tsuchitoi Gymnasium office before use.
(Requirements to be observed)
Article 8
- The user must comply with the following:
- Please strictly adhere to the usage time.
- Do not engage in any conduct that disrupts public order or causes inconvenience to others.
- Do not damage the facilities, equipment, furnishings, etc. (hereinafter referred to as "facilities, etc.").
- Do not use for purposes other than those intended.
- You may not transfer or sublease the right to use the property to any third party.
- Outdoor shoes should be stored in the shoe rack, and clothing and personal belongings should be stored in the locker. Users are responsible for their own safekeeping.
- Take extra care to prevent the theft of valuables.
- Do not engage in commercial activities such as selling goods inside the gymnasium without permission.
- You must not engage in advertising, promotion, or solicitation of donations of money or goods.
- Drinking alcohol and smoking are prohibited inside the gymnasium and its affiliated facilities (hereinafter referred to as "inside the building").
- Do not drive vehicles or other vehicles into areas other than the designated areas.
- For the use of fire inside the building, a request for permission to use heating equipment must be submitted to Tsuchitoi Gymnasium Office or the Izumi Gymnasium Office before use begins, and permission must be obtained from the Student Affairs Director.
- If any facilities are lost or damaged, report it immediately to Tsuchitoi Gymnasium office.
- After use, please return the item to its original condition as soon as possible.
- Users are responsible for keeping the building clean and tidy both inside and out.
- Please follow all other instructions from Tsuchitoi Gymnasium office and act responsibly.
(Cancellation or suspension of permission to use)
Article 9
- Tsuchitoi Gymnasium office may immediately revoke or suspend the use of the facility if the user falls under any of the following categories.
- When the user violates these regulations or any necessary instructions for management purposes.
- When it is deemed unsuitable for the maintenance and management of the gymnasium due to rainfall, freezing, construction work, etc.
- When other unavoidable circumstances arise.
(Compensation for damages)
Article 10
- If an employer intentionally or negligently causes loss or damage to a facility, they must compensate for the damage.
(Administrative)
Article 11
- All matters related to these regulations will be handled by the Student Affairs Division of the Student Services Department.
(Revision/Abolition)
Article 12
- Any amendment or repeal of these regulations shall be carried out by the President after deliberation by the Student Committee and subject to approval by the Board of Directors.
- Supplementary provisions
- These regulations shall come into effect on April 1, 2002.
- Supplementary Provisions (Revised No. 7, January 10, 2018)
- These regulations shall come into effect on January 10, 2018, and shall apply from April 1, 2017.
- Supplementary Provisions (Amended No. 112, July 2, 2020)
- These regulations shall come into effect on July 2, 2024.
