"Kuraishi Hutte" Usage Regulations

(Purpose)

Article 1
  1. These regulations stipulate the necessary matters concerning the use of the mountain hut (hereinafter referred to as "this mountain hut") that Tohoku Gakuin University (hereinafter referred to as "this university") has established at the foot of Mt. Zao.

(Name and location, etc.)

Article 2
  1. The main mountain hut is called "Kuraishi Hutte" of Tohoku Gakuin University and is located at an altitude of 1,040 meters on the north-northeast slope of Mt. Goeboshi, approximately 1,500 meters southwest of Fudo Falls in the middle reaches of the Sumikawa River, as shown on the 1:50,000 scale map "Shiraishi".
  2. The mountain hut is equipped with fuel and medicine. However, food and bedding are not provided.

(Those who can use it)

Article 3
  1. In principle, only staff, students, pupils, and alumni of Tohoku Gakuin Educational Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "the Corporation") may use the mountain hut. However, this restriction does not apply to those permitted by the Dean of Student Affairs of the Corporation.

(Usage Procedure)

Article 4
  1. Those wishing to use the mountain hut must apply to the Student Affairs Division of the university's Student Services Department through the mountaineering club, filling out the "Application for Use" form with the following information, and upon obtaining permission, be issued a key. In this case, necessary conditions may be attached from the perspective of preventing accidents.
    1. Purpose of use and planned course
    2. Planned dates and number of days of use
    3. Address, name, and number of employees of the person in charge of the affiliated organization

(Capacity)

Article 5
  1. The capacity of the mountain hut is limited to 40 people.

(Return of the key)

Article 6
  1. The key must be returned by the day after descending the mountain.

(List of users)

Article 7
  1. Users of the mountain hut must fill in all required information on the provided register.

(Loss and damage to equipment, etc.)

Article 8
  1. When using the mountain hut, you must exercise the care of a prudent manager, and any loss or damage to equipment must be reported immediately and compensated for.

(Restrictions on use by unauthorized persons)

Article 9
  1. During training camps for members of our university's mountaineering club, access by non-members may be restricted.

(Prohibited Uses and Compliance Requirements)

Article 10
  1. If you violate these regulations while using the mountain hut, you will be prohibited from using it in the future.
  2. Those using the mountain hut must strictly observe the following:
    1. Respect mountaineering ethics and cherish the mountain hut.
    2. Please return all equipment to its original position after use.
    3. Please pay close attention to keeping the mountain hut clean and tidy, and clean it after use.
    4. The use of stoves will be prohibited from July 1st to the end of September.
    5. During the period specified in the previous issue, cooking shall be done outdoors using a hearth. However, this shall not apply in the event of wind or rain.
    6. Pay particular attention to fire safety and securing doors and windows.
    7. Use the provided fuel and chemicals sparingly.
    8. Abstain from alcohol.
    9. Shoes are strictly prohibited inside the building.
    10. Since the area around the mountain hut is a national forest, logging is strictly prohibited.
    11. Please use the designated toilet area.

(Administrative)

Article 11
  1. All matters related to these regulations will be handled by the Student Affairs Division of the Student Services Department.

(Revision/Abolition)

Article 12
  1. Any amendment or repeal of these regulations shall be carried out by the President after deliberation by the Student Committee and subject to approval by the Board of Directors.
Supplementary provisions
These regulations shall come into effect on October 1, 1971.
