Students with outstanding academic performance at graduation
Detailed regulations concerning awards

(Purpose)

Article 1
  1. These regulations, based on Articles 2 and 9 of the Tohoku Gakuin University Student Awards Regulations, stipulate the details of the selection process for award recipients of academically outstanding awards at graduation.

(Procedure for determining award recipients)

Article 2
  1. The award recipients are decided by the university president after deliberation by the faculty council, based on a proposal from the student committee.

(Number of award recipients)

Article 3
  1. The number of award recipients shall be equivalent to 2% (rounded to one decimal place) of the enrollment capacity for each department as stipulated in Article 4 of the Tohoku Gakuin University Regulations.
  2. The number of award recipients for each department is as shown in the attached table.

(Selection method)

Article 4
  1. Award recipients will be selected in accordance with the method used for selecting the valedictorian of the graduating class.

(Administrative)

Article 5
  1. All matters related to these regulations will be handled by the Student Affairs Division of the Student Services Department.

(Revision/Abolition)

Article 6
  1. Any amendments or repeals of these regulations shall be initiated by the Student Committee, approved by the Faculty Council, approved by the President, and reported to the Board of Directors.
Supplementary provisions
These regulations will come into effect on April 1, 2026.
