Master's (Doctoral) Program in Law

Philosophy/purpose

Based on Christian character education, the school teaches the theory and application of law or political science, and cultivates research capabilities in specialized fields, thereby fostering a wide range of human resources, including professionals, businesspeople who utilize advanced expertise, members of society with advanced expertise, and researchers, and contributing to the progress of society.

Master's Program in Law

Doctoral Program in Law

Master's Program in Law

1. To acquire a broad perspective, fundamental knowledge, and critical thinking skills in law or political science.
2. To acquire specialized knowledge on several specific topics related to law or political science.
3. To acquire specialized and academically valuable knowledge on research topics related to law or political science.
4. To acquire the knowledge, skills, and awareness necessary as a researcher in order to conduct academic research in law or political science and to publish the results.

Doctoral Program in Law

1. To acquire a broad perspective, specialized knowledge, and critical thinking skills in law or political science.
2. To acquire highly specialized and academically valuable knowledge on research topics related to law or political science.
3. To acquire the knowledge, skills, and awareness necessary to be an independent researcher, in order to continuously conduct academic research in law or political science and to publish its results.

Features

The distinguishing feature of the Department of Law in the Graduate School of Law is that it covers major fields of law and political science as research subjects, while its educational objectives focus on training and continuing education (career advancement) for professionals. Therefore, we welcome those who aspire to become professionals such as researchers, tax accountants, judicial scriveners, social insurance labor consultants, and administrative scriveners, or those who are already professionals but wish to further enhance their expertise. From enrollment to graduation, a main supervisor and co-supervisor will provide thorough guidance tailored to your needs.

The Master's program offers two tracks: the "Legal Studies Course" for those aiming to become researchers, and the "Tax Law Course" and "Career Development Course" for those seeking career advancement.

Students in the "Legal Studies Course" and the "Tax Law Course" will write research papers, while students in the "Career Development Course" will write research papers. Research papers, compared to research papers, focus on more practical and relevant issues, so that the research results can contribute to your career advancement.
