Graduate School of Law awards the degree of "Master of Laws" to those who, in the first stage of the doctoral program, acquire the required number of credits in accordance with the prescribed study method, receive the necessary research guidance, and are deemed to have achieved the following learning outcomes through the examination of their master's thesis or equivalent learning outcome and the final examination.

1. Possesses a broad perspective, fundamental knowledge, and critical thinking skills in law or political science.
2. Possesses specialized knowledge in several specific topics related to law or political science.
3. Possesses specialized and academically valuable knowledge on research topics related to law or political science.
4. Possesses the necessary knowledge, skills, and awareness as a researcher to conduct academic research in law or political science and to publish its results.

In order to achieve the learning outcomes stipulated in the degree awarding policy, the Graduate Graduate School of Law organizes and implements a systematic and sequential curriculum in the Master's program, according to the following policies.

1. With the primary objective of achieving learning outcome 1 as defined in the degree awarding policy, "General Lectures" are offered in the first semester of the first year, and "Applied Lectures" are offered from the second semester of the first year.
2. The "Specific Theme Research" is established with the primary objective of achieving learning outcome 2 as defined in the degree awarding policy.
3. With the primary objective of achieving learning outcome 3 as defined in the degree awarding policy, a "Seminar" will be introduced from the second semester of the first year, along with necessary research guidance.
4. With the primary objective of achieving learning outcome 4 as defined in the degree awarding policy, an "introductory course" is placed in the first semester of the first year and made compulsory, along with necessary research guidance.
5. Research guidance aims to cultivate the necessary skills for a researcher through oral presentations, the writing of a master's thesis, or research paper.
6. To accommodate the diverse range of human resource development that this program aims to achieve, multiple study courses are offered, each with different completion requirements.

Graduate School of Law accepts applicants for its Master's program after confirming the following points.

1. Applicants must possess a motivation for admission and a research topic that aligns with the objectives of this course, namely (1) to (4) the development and retraining of human resources.
   1. Professionals in law or political science (e.g., tax accountants, judicial scriveners, social insurance and labor consultants, administrative scriveners)
   2. Professionals who utilize advanced expertise in law or political science (civil servants, business people, teachers, organization staff, etc.)
   3. Professionals with advanced expertise in law or political science
   4. Researchers in law or political science

3. Applicants must possess the necessary level of specialized knowledge in law or political science for the studies required in this course.

The Graduate Graduate School of Law awards the degree of "Doctor of Law" to those who, in the doctoral program, acquire the required number of credits in accordance with the prescribed study method, receive the necessary research guidance, and are deemed to have achieved the following learning outcomes through the examination of their doctoral dissertation and final examination.

1. Possesses a broad perspective, specialized knowledge, and critical thinking skills in law or political science.
2. Possesses highly specialized and academically valuable knowledge on research topics related to law or political science.
3. Possessing the knowledge, skills, and awareness necessary as an independent researcher to continuously conduct academic research in law or political science and to publish its results.

2. Possesses highly specialized and academically valuable knowledge on research topics related to law or political science.
3. Possesses the knowledge, skills, and awareness necessary as an independent researcher to continuously conduct academic research in law or political science and to publish its results.
