Graduate School of Law has two partnerships with Graduate School of Law at Hokkai Gakuen Graduate Schools: a credit transfer system and a faculty exchange system. Both began as part of collaborative projects between the two Graduate Schools, but considering that the former is difficult to implement in practice as it would require students to travel between the two universities, the latter aims to exchange faculty members instead of students. Specifically, every other year, faculty members from one Graduate Schools conduct classes in Sendai and Sapporo during the summer vacation period for students from the other Graduate Schools. These are intensive lectures consisting of 15 sessions worth 2 credits.

I believe that classes taught by full-time faculty members from other universities, whom we don't usually have the opportunity to interact with, are not only refreshing but also extremely valuable in terms of inter-university exchange.

Graduate School of Law maintains certain collaborations not only with Graduate School of Law at Hokkai Gakuen Graduate Schools, but also with other graduate schools within the university (e.g., Graduate School of Economics and Graduate School of Business Administration) and Faculty of Law. If a subject of interest (e.g., Business Administration) is not offered in Graduate School of Law, but can be taken in another graduate school within the university, up to 10 credits will be counted towards your graduation requirements. A similar exception applies when your academic advisor recommends taking courses in the Faculty of Faculty of Law. Please consult thoroughly with your academic advisor to determine your course of study and schedule.

In Graduate School of Law, all faculty members have designated office hours, during which they are available to answer students' questions and provide consultations. Students can use this time to have various discussions with faculty members.

At the end of each academic year, we conduct a course evaluation survey to collect student feedback on the courses offered and the research environment, and use this information to improve future course management.

Student evaluations are anonymized and transmitted to the Dean of the Graduate School by student representatives. The Dean compiles the evaluations and responses to them into a document, which is then distributed to both students and faculty (including part-time lecturers who taught the courses) after approval by the Graduate School Committee. If students make suggestions regarding courses that require immediate improvement, faculty members are given a general or individual warning to encourage improvements to future courses.
