Policy is the culmination of aspirations and wisdom aimed at creating a better society.
"Policy" involves setting goals and developing a logical plan to achieve them, and it is essential for any organization or project.
A "policy" embodies an ideal, and based on that, "practice" is "designed" logically.
A "system" that transforms society is realized, and "policies" are implemented.
A "business" is created by combining two elements: "policies" that are logically formulated based on the realities of society, and "designs" to implement those policies.
There are many "policies" and "projects" in the world. These projects come together to form a "social structure."
Surely, everyone desires to create a better society. However, as times change and society evolves, it's not uncommon for social structures to become dysfunctional or even harmful. (This is the situation in many countries and the world today.)
What is good or bad depends on one's perspective. It's crucial to take a broad view, consider the feelings and circumstances of the people involved, and then make decisions and create. Nothing is created without decisions. Recognize the importance and responsibility of making decisions, and strive to achieve the optimal outcome. Continue to achieve it. And until the desired results are achieved, review the "policies" and "systems" and aim for the development of the "project." (Aim for an endless project!)
What's needed for that is "Management"!
"Management" is the art of fulfilling wishes. It will be a great force for people living in the future. I want to convey that power, and at the same time, cultivate the "human capabilities" of those who use it.
Introduction to Exercises I and II
Theme: To learn methods for solving social issues and to put those solutions into practice.
- There are "methods" for solving social problems. This seminar aims to help students understand these methods and work towards solving them. Based on students' interests, we will learn the necessary methods and continuously explore their applications.
- You will acquire the essential skills of project management, including the ability to analyze existing problems, conceive and implement new solutions, and continuously evaluate and improve projects.
- We have projects that we are implementing in collaboration with local businesses and local governments. We will expand these projects and put them into practice to solve problems.
- Because there is a lot of interaction with external parties, you will develop essential business skills.
Message to high school students
Whether it's world peace, escaping poverty, or a secure society, it doesn't matter. If you think carefully and work towards it, it can be achieved. It's not possible to achieve it immediately; it's usually a long road, but if you can see the path, you can move forward. You can also walk that path together with others. That's the power of management.
This is the place you need to make your wishes come true. If you're skeptical, come and see for yourself. We'll be waiting! ☆
