Precautions
  • *1 The above "Overview of the System" items 1-5 also apply to those eligible for this system.
  • *2 To utilize this system, you must apply for a Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) grant scholarship. This is not a system that automatically reduces or waives tuition fees.
  • *3 For the first round of applications, eligibility is determined by the number of dependent children as of the end of December two years prior, and for the second round of applications, it is determined by the number of dependent children as of the end of December of the previous year.
  • *4 The new higher education support system is a system that combines the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) grant scholarship and tuition fee reduction/exemption, but this system only provides tuition fee reduction/exemption support. If your income is within the grant scholarship criteria, you can receive the grant scholarship as well.
