Event volunteer (Kumazawa Seminar)

As students of Professor Kumazawa's seminar and the Comprehensive Seminar II, I volunteered at local events such as the Children's Center Festival and the Japan Women's Conference.

The photos show scenes from the "Sports and Recreation Festival" held in October by the Taihaku Ward Recreation Association in Sendai City. Adults and children alike were having fun and seriously trying out the games. It was also a very enjoyable day for the students who helped out.

Feedback from participants

  • The staff's smiles were wonderful, and I had a very enjoyable time.
  • Many of the things were new to them, but they were taught each one carefully, and the children seemed to have a lot of fun.
  • After the fishing game, they gave a clear explanation about the interconnectedness of life, which was educational for both my child and me.
  • There were so many different activities, and it was really fun. I'd love to come again next year. It made me happy to see my child enjoying physical activity, and it was a great time for both parent and child to have fun.
  • Even the adults were captivated. The bottle cap flipping and marble transfer games seem like they could be made at home. All the other games also seem like they could be made with a little ingenuity using substitute materials. My kindergarten-aged daughter was absolutely thrilled.
  • It would be great if this happened every month. I had a lot of fun playing. Please continue doing this in the future.
