The first thing I noticed when I looked at the curriculum was that there were quite a few subjects related to "welfare."

I personally entered Department of Economics because I was interested in finance, but I also wanted to study social security and social welfare. I thought those were things that are absolutely essential to know in order to live, and that it would be difficult to study them on my own.

Therefore, I think it's great that the Faculty Faculty of Economics has such a strong focus on social welfare.

However, employment isn't necessarily limited to "welfare-related" fields. After all, it's Faculty of Economics. It's not going to be drastically different from previous Department of Economics.

Reading what my seniors have to say, I've really come to understand that the concept of "coexistence" can be applied to many different jobs. Even in finance, it's certainly probably beneficial to have knowledge of social security and things like that. I'll make sure to study hard while I have the chance (laughs).
