For all students enrolled in faculties and departments that will cease accepting new students, we will ensure that they maintain their affiliation with their chosen department and the educational environment there until graduation. We, the faculty and staff, will also fulfill our responsibility to provide support for their student life, career paths, and job placement.
On a Sunday in June 2012, third-year students from Professor Guo's seminar took the lead in helping with oyster farming at Omotehama on the Oshika Peninsula as part of disaster relief efforts.
This volunteer work began at the request of a Korean woman who lives on the beach. She seemed to be completely integrated into the community and was trusted by many people.
