Faculty of Economics Department of Co-existing Society Studies

Recruitment stopped in April 2023

For all students enrolled in faculties and departments that will cease accepting new students, we will ensure that they maintain their affiliation with their chosen department and the educational environment there until graduation. We, the faculty and staff, will also fulfill our responsibility to provide support for their student life, career paths, and job placement.

In the case of Ms. M (from Aomori Prefecture)

Ms. M

I want to become someone who can contribute to society.

I wanted to learn not only about economics but also about contemporary social issues, and become someone who could contribute to society. My high school teacher recommended Department of Co-existing Society Studies.

After researching the department, I found it to be very appealing because it allows me to study both economics and social welfare. It's a new and unique department, and I believe it will allow me to think for myself, take action, and grow, so I decided to enroll in it.

In this department, which includes fieldwork in the third year, I want to interact with many people and challenge myself in various ways. Ultimately, I hope to find a job where I can help children, the elderly, and people with disabilities.

I'm so glad I chose "coexistence"! Here's why...

The teacher is very approachable!

Perhaps because I'm part of the first graduating class, I often get to talk to or do things with teachers whose classes I don't take. Those kinds of things make me really happy.

Comprehensive Exercises I is fun!

I learned things that will be useful in the future, such as reading books and participating in debates. Plus, I enjoyed having time to talk with other students.
