At the children's center with the children
Through practical training at child-related facilities, students will learn about the environment surrounding children and childcare. In today's world, where the importance of women's employment and men's participation in housework and childcare is increasing, the significance of childcare support in society is also growing.
The practical training facilities are planned to be a children's center and a childcare support facility (Nobisuku Nagamachi Minami) in Sendai City. At the children's center, you will spend time with elementary school children, mainly those in the lower grades who come to the after-school children's club, playing with them and helping them with their homework. At the childcare support facility, you will experience supervising children who come with their parents, planning events such as picture book readings, and assisting at the reception desk.
Through interactions with children, parents, and staff at each facility, deepen your understanding of children and the environment in which they grow up. Also, deepen your understanding of the role of each facility and consider how childcare support should be provided.
